Every Home A Classroom TechCamp

The ComputerCorps TechCamp ™ Program is for 9 to 15-year-old students where they work on and take home a complete computer system.

TechCamp™ is an annual summer program for youth 9-15 years old. For the past 15 years, this 2-week program gives kids the opportunity to learn about computer recycling, testing, and assembly while building a computer system they can take home or give to a family-in-need at the end of camp.

Each summer month a two-week camp is offered in Carson City, NV with each camp consisting of up to 16 kids. Daily activities include learning, doing and having fun. Sessions take place on Monday through Friday for 3 hours a day (1:30 to 4:30 pm).

Early in the year we have flyers and applications for campers and sponsors! We turn folks away every year because our limited space fills up well before the summer.

It is the best two weeks of the summer! Campers get their hands on real computers taking them apart and putting them together. Along with learning how computers work we explore internet safety and other computer topics.  Campers enjoy games, theme songs, races, competition for tech upgrades, snacks, and take home their OWN personalized internet-ready computer system along with a deep and wide understanding of the technology inside.
