Wondering what computer my son will be bringing home from the camp. He is also wondering what the specs of the computer are as he is very into computers and excited for this camp. This is for Every home A Classroom that he go a flyer for.
Thanks for asking. TechCamp is an gentle and fun introduction to technology. The computer is not the focus of TechCamp but a useful souvenir to continue the exploring technology. It is a good office computer. Currently we are planning to provide an i5 with 8GB running Windows 10 and office software. Serious gaming would require the purchase and installation of a video card after the camp ends.
Is Computer Camp requirement for volunteering at ComputerCorps?
Summer TechCamp is for youth 9-15 while volunteering is year round for folks between 9-90. Some TechCampers volunteer but it is not a requirement for volunteering. More information and printable info pack is on our volunteer page. https://www.computercorps.org/volunteer/
